Chief Information Officer
Jeremy Mason is Chief Information Officer at IMU Biosciences, where he leads the data platform team responsible for ingesting, organising and governing the company’s scientific data. With more than two decades of experience spanning scientific software, bioinformatics, data architecture and technical leadership, Jeremy specialises in scalable systems that make complex biological and operational data findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable.
His career has focused on the intersection of computation, biology and large-scale research infrastructure. Before joining IMU, Jeremy held senior technical and scientific leadership roles at EMBL-EBI, where he directed phenomics data programmes, led teams across software engineering, bioinformatics and statistics, and contributed to major international resources including the International Mouse Phenotyping Consortium, PDXFinder and COVID-19 immunology data infrastructure.
At IMU, Jeremy oversees the data platform that brings together information from across the company’s scientific ecosystem, including high-dimensional immune profiling data, outputs from scientific instruments, experimental metadata and operational data sources. His team ensures that data is consistently ingested, structured, governed and made available for secure, compliant scientific use, while supporting scientists with the tools, infrastructure and standards needed to turn complex data into trusted, reusable assets for discovery, collaboration and precision medicine.
